Reactive Dog Behaviour, Live Online Workshops

£45.00

What do you do when your reactive dog won’t take a treat?

Most reactive dogs will ignore treats or toys; they’ll also ignore well known commands when triggered. So if distraction techniques don’t work, how do you solve it? My Reactive Dog Behaviour, Live Online Workshops will offer valuable insight into why many training plans don’t work and how to actually solve it.

***Thursdays at 5pm, 8th – 29th February**

Over four, weekly, workshops I’ll reveal different ways to help your reactive dog. We’ll monitor your progress, and by the end of the course  you’ll have a plan to help you solve the problem once and for all. These workshops are perfect for dogs that are triggered by things they come across on walks such as other dogs, people, bikes, and scooters etc.

Using a mix of theory, weekly homework, questions and discussion, I will talk you through why reactive behaviour is different to other behaviour problems. You’ll learn:

  • What actually is reactive behaviour?
  • How do you keep him out of his reactive brain?
  • Why is reactive behaviour so tricky, and what can you do about it?
  • Common mistakes, and why many training plans make things worse
  • How and when to reward your dog
  • Multiple ways to handle a trigger
  • How do you manage your environment?
  • How to track progress
  • Making change permanent

Don’t wait to join… I have a task for you to do before we get started! Spaces are strictly limited to allow for discussion and personalisation of techniques. Classes are estimated to take around 45-60 minutes – depending on discussion. Zooms will be recorded and made available to refer back to for 3 months.
